Welcome to TenTen (“we,” “our,” or “us”), an online platform that connects students with independent tutors for one-on-one tutoring sessions and structured tutoring courses. By accessing or using our website (the "Site") and our services (collectively, the “Services”), you (“you,” “student,” or “user”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.
1. Services Provided
- Session Packages: Flexible online meetings where students may request specific topics. Teachers will assist if they have the knowledge and expertise.
- Courses: Structured, multi-session programs created and delivered by teachers.
All interactions are conducted via third-party video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
2. Independent Teachers
Teachers listed on TenTen are independent contractors, not employees or agents of TenTen.
TenTen does not control teaching methods, materials, or outcomes. We act solely as a facilitator and marketplace.
3. Booking & Payments
- Students may purchase session packages or enroll in full courses.
- All payments must be made upfront before sessions or courses begin.
- Accepted payment methods: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, KPay, Wave Money, AYA Pay, and other approved processors.
- Students are responsible for any third-party payment processing fees.
- Once payment is confirmed, TenTen will connect students with teachers and provide booking details.
4. Scheduling & Attendance
- Sessions are 1 hour long.
- Teachers publish availability, and students select their preferred times.
- If a student is 15+ minutes late without notice, the tutor may end the session, and the session will be charged in full.
- Rescheduling is subject to each teacher's individual policy.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Students may request cancellations or rescheduling based on the teacher's policy.
- If a teacher cancels an entire course or remaining package sessions, students will receive a full refund.
- Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Third-party payment processing fees are non-refundable.
6. Code of Conduct
Students agree to:
- Treat teachers, staff, and other users respectfully.
- Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.
- Use TenTen only for lawful, educational purposes.
Violations: Students may receive up to two warnings for misconduct. Continued violations may result in permanent suspension without refund.
7. Learning Materials & Intellectual Property
- Teachers may share materials (slides, notes, recordings) at their discretion.
- Teachers retain ownership of all materials they create.
- Students may not copy, distribute, or resell learning materials without written consent from the teacher.
8. Privacy
- TenTen collects limited student information (e.g., name, email, phone number, city, country, and payment details).
- Information is used solely for booking, payments, and communication related to our services.
- TenTen does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
- Limited details (such as name and contact info) may be shared with assigned tutors to coordinate sessions.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- TenTen does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, academic achievements, or admission opportunities.
- Our courses and session packages are for educational purposes only.
- TenTen is not liable for:
- Technical issues or interruptions.
- Failures of third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
- Teacher's performance beyond marketplace facilitation.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, TenTen disclaims all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
